The club is dedicated to all aspects of RC boating (except high speed powered race boats) and has the will, skills and organization to help people of all ages to easily get into this rewarding hobby.

- A loan of a Club owned RC sailboat to considerably reduce the barriers to try out the sport.
- The club allows members to sail together as a group, which increases safety.
- Meetings include a rescue boat stationed at the Baie D’Urfé location (open lake) that members can use to collect their boat if something goes wrong.
- Marine Modellers Montreal also organizes races between model sailboats.
- Races use the Racing Rules Of Sailing, exactly the same as for yacht racing, such as the World Cup with some simplifications to suit these smaller boats.
- The club holds meetings at 7:30 pm on the first Tuesday of each month from September to May.
