How can we help you?

We sail primarily at three sailing locations on Saturday or Sunday mornings, from May to September. See Sailing Locations and Event Schedule for details.

We hold Club meetings at 7:30 pm on the first Tuesday of each month from September to May at the DDO Civic Center, Conference room F005, 12001 Boulevard de Salaberry, Dollard-Des Ormeaux, H9B 2A7, QC. See Meetings/Contact and Event Schedule for details.

We have model sailboats and power boats. In sailboats, the 1 meter Weedless class is popular, as are DF65s and in particular we have dedicated races for these boats at all three locations. See Boats and Event Schedule for more information.

There are not many clubs in the local region. It appears that there is only Marine Modellers Montreal in the Montreal region, however, but there is a thriving club for model sailing in Ottawa, Ottawa Area Model Yacht Club. See our Links page for more information, updated regularly.

Yes we have a Facebook page. Find it Here. The Facebook page is better for up to date news and changes in the event schedule as a result of high or no wind.

We have created a Youtube Channel, to show club videos. You can see it here.

The Racing Rules of Sailing are complex and learning them all properly takes years. Given these points, the racing rules for model boats are much simplified, especially for mark rounding (the buoys in yacht racing are known as marks) where you can actually touch the mark with your boat (totally not allowed in real yacht racing). The simplified rules for racing RC yachts are given in this video.
